Going by an article posted on the Queen Anne Blog, it appears that the Whole Foods in Interbay has ramped up their opening date. This is great news since we all look forward to having more food options in the area. The Interbay Urban Center contains businesses such as Pete's Coffee, Subway, Interbay Cleaners, Chinese restaurant and Whole Foods is one of many players that are helping turn around Interbay. Mobile food trucks have grown in popularity -- not just because they can be everywhere, but also because the food is so doggone tasty. You know summer is here when the sound of jazz starts wafting through Interbay and up the hills of Queen Anne and Magnolia from the Interbay Golf Center. I remember the first time I heard live music come in through my window and began searching for the source. The Seattle Fire Department and Fleets and Facilities have gone back to the original plan to replace the aging, cramped Fire Station # 20 with an expanded facility at the old one's current location in the 3200 block of 13th Avenue West.
The plan originally called for the demolition of three single-family homes on the block to do that, although the city will probably have to make do with just two because of cost considerations, said Seattle City Council member and Queen Anne resident Tim Burgess....

As the Interbay neighborhood develops it is inevitable that there will be a need to build an electrical substation. The Interbay Neighborhood Association knows that this is down the road, and hopes it will be located along 15th Ave. in an open space connected to the Interbay Golf Course.
